  • Hi John, ... a quick note to express our very high level of satisfaction with the job your team did installing the new furnace and AC at our home on Monday. Dave, Liam and Ryan were all enormously professional in every way - respectful of our property, diligent with the floor mats, meticulous in the post-install clean up, masks always-on, and a pleasure to speak with. Please share our thanks with them. The only downside to the day was that Betti-Ann was totally taken aback by the physical size of the AC - it occupies a considerably larger footprint on our patio (joys of an inside unit) than its predecessor, and we're looking for ways to camouflage it. The guys were very accommodating - they actually removed the supporting bracket and lowered the unit - but at the end of the day, not your problem. My fault for not inquiring about the physical size of the unit and exploring options, if any. Anyway, thanks to you and your team for outstanding service. I've told many friends of our telephone exchange and the extraordinary service you provided when our AC shut down a few weeks ago. An absolute pleasure to do business with you and your company.

  • We began working with the owner, John St. Germain, in early December 2019 when we were in the middle of kitchen renovations that included changes to heating supply and air return ducts. John was very responsive and professional in his approach and it became clear that he would do the work in a manner that he himself would be happy with – he suggested that if we agreed to work with him, that we should be ready to be impressed. I am not easily impressed, especially these days. It did not take long for him to come by and assess the situation, make recommendations and to provide a quotation the services – we tried for weeks to get another HVAC company to come by and provide a quotation. John looked at the big picture and used his experience to suggest some aspects that I had been thinking about but never felt that I could trust anyone to actually do it. The pricing was reasonable and we agreed quickly to move forward. We have an understanding that some of the work will have to be completed over the next few months as our renovation work proceeds. Once we started, the work that could be done was completed quickly and professionally. I have to admit, that I was impressed with John and his team – I was pleasantly surprised. The main things that come to mind about this recent experience with John and his team are: - Demonstrated an attitude of professionalism: a desire to understand the problem(s) and assess what solution makes the most sense - Set our expectations for the quality of the products and workmanship - Set our expectations for the schedule – the work was done with urgency (installation was 90% completed within 10 days of 1st contact) but without sacrificing quality - Work ethic demands work is done the right way – not juts the quick and dirty – and to be responsive to our needs - Exceeded our expectations for the schedule and the quality of work- I could trust this company to deliver on their promises We know this professional attitude will continue as we continue the work – my expectations continue to be high and I anticipate John’s team of professionals will continue to impress me as we continue to work together.

  • Unionville Heating & A/C installed our furnace and a/c mid-September.  The Goodman A/C was amazing!  The house was so comfortable and the air conditioner was super quiet -- I could stand beside it and have a conversation, in comfort, with my neighbour.  The furnace had been a little more complex as we have been plagued with one very cold room ever since we moved in 17 years ago.  We have just finished experiencing our first period of below zero temperatures this winter and that caused me to call Unionville Heating with my observations.  Within 24 hours, Dave was at our door to re-balanced our system.   This afternoon, that cold room reached 71 degrees for the first time ever! I highly recommend this company.  They are informed; they are responsive; they cannot do enough to ensure we are happy — they are the best.   Our thanks to each of you working with Unionville Heating & Air Conditioning!

  • on a friday night...all of sudden a line to the humidifier burst and water was everywhere.....we turned off water and called a plumber....they came out and failed to fix the problem....since it was a water/heating problem...I found an invoice from prior owner for Unionville Heating and called to leave a message on the Sunday....suprised to get an answer...arranged for them to come Monday afternoon....Eric arrived and quickly he resolved the problem....replaced the old plastic line with a copper line to the humidifier and replaced the failed saddle valve which also had failed as a backup turn off mechanism. Shocking that a plumber could neither stop the leak, replace the saddle valve or offer real assistance. Thank you Eric for your assistance and professionalism.

  • I called Unionville Heating to have our air conditioner repaired (it just stopped working). I mentioned to the person who took my call that my mother was 83, and if it was possible to have someone come out today to take a look because I didn’t want her in a home without air conditioning. I was advised that “Dillon” would be out to our home between 2pm - 4pm. At 1:57 the truck pulled up, and within 30 minutes Dillon assessed and fixed the issue. He advised that more then likely we would need a new unit and then gave me details on what that entailed. Dillon was such a well informed, professional technician that I will most likely be purchasing my unit from Unionville Heating. I received wonderful service from your company and would happily recommend them to any of my neighbors.

  • We are in the middle of a heatwave and our AC unit broke. We need to replace the unit. While we are waiting for the unit to arrive we are slowing melting in our house. Everyone is hot and angry and I have begun to hallucinate and cry from the heat. Dillon and the staff at Unionville Heating have come out to put a temporary motor in our old unit to get that going until the new unit arrives. They went above and beyond! We were without heat and when we called we were given an appointment the same day and the technician was at our house within hours. Unfortunately our unit couldn't be repaired (due to it's age) and the technician was able to re-schedule another customer's appointment so we could have our new furnace installed the very next day (thank you to the customer who agreed to switch with us!!!). The installation technicians (Ryan, Tyler and Dave) were at our house the next morning and had us up and running by lunch time.   • I called Unionville Heating and Air for advice when another company servicing my furnace wasn't getting the job done: I had been patiently enduring 8 days without heat in the middle of February, despite repeat visits from the technician, and I was losing it! John not only took my call, he listened to my story, calmed me down and offered to contact the other company on my behalf to ensure they were going to get the job done properly. He called me back immediately to reassure me and encourage me to give the other company one more chance to correct the problem. He then gave me his cell number and told me to call if the problem wasn't solved by that evening. The next morning he called back to see if I had heat (yes, finally I did). I'm not even his customer, and yet John took the time to  listen to my concerns, advocated on my behalf, and checked in on me the next day. That kind of customer service is rare in these days, and you can be sure I'll give my future business to Unionville. Very impressive.

Not only did he thoroughly examine the existing furnace and surrounding area (and discovered one of our vents disconnected) he took the time to walk through the entire house and ask us if we had any heating/cooling issues.
